Andar Bahar: the two-round Joker card game

Andar Bahar is a card game with two sides on the table, Andar and Bahar, and a Joker whose value decides which of them wins. The game uses a standard 52-card deck and runs over two rounds. On 1xBet's Algerian site it appears in the 1xGames catalogue, and accounts there are held in DZD.

The two rounds pay out separately, each at its own winning odds, and your total for the game is the sum of both.

Bets and payouts by round

For instance, a stake on the value 8 pays 12 times its amount if the Joker turns out to be an eight. Add a second stake on Andar in round two, and a win there pays double; the two wins are then added together.

Round 1: betting on the Joker

Round one is a bet on the Joker card, or simply the Joker: the first card out of the deck. A correct suit wins, a correct value wins, and so does a bet that gets both right. Once you have won this round, you can collect your winnings there and then, or keep playing into round two.

Round 2: picking a side

Round two begins with your main bet on the side you expect to win, placed before the deal starts. A +20 bet can ride alongside it and pays if 20 or more cards are dealt before the round ends. With the Joker at the centre of the playing field, the dealer lays out single cards on the Andar and Bahar sides until one matches the Joker's value. Bets on the side where that card lands win; bets on the other side lose.
