Greyhound Racing: greyhound races in the pre-match line
A greyhound race sends dogs after an artificial lure that is driven mechanically along a rail, on a track built for the purpose. On 1xBet these races appear before the off under Greyhound Racing, sorted by track: one group per stadium, and one event per race within each group.
One number, one starting trap
Every greyhound is listed after a number, №1, №2 and so on. That number points to the dog's starting trap. In the United Kingdom, Rule 118 of the Greyhound Board of Great Britain requires every runner to wear a racing jacket whose colour and numeral match its trap:
trap 1: red jacket, white numeral;
trap 2: blue jacket, white numeral;
trap 3: white jacket, black numeral;
trap 4: black jacket, white numeral;
trap 5: orange jacket, black numeral;
trap 6: white and black stripes, red numeral.
A reserve called up to run also carries the letter R on each side of the jacket.
Tracks in the section

The groups shift with the programme of scheduled meetings. Tracks that have already appeared in the list include Dunstall Park, Monmore and Nottingham. The figure in brackets next to each name shows how many races the group holds.
What the list and the race page show
Detail | Group list | Race page |
|---|---|---|
Time | site date and time, then a time marked GMT | time and date at the top of the page |
Dogs | number and name in capitals, price underneath | number and name, price on the right |
Market | no heading, one price per dog | the Winner block, under the Search by market field |
The Winner market asks you to name the greyhound that crosses the line first. On the race page that block carries the whole field, one dog per line.
Where the rules stand
None of the sections in the site rules is devoted to real greyhound racing: the horse racing section addresses horses, and the dog races described further on are virtual events, a separate product. Bets in this section therefore fall under the general rules, the ones that decide which start time counts, how results are treated and what becomes of withdrawn runners.
The remaining pre-match sports are on the full 1xBet line, and a stake in Algerian dinars starts with signing up on the site.

Greyhounds: common questions
What does the GMT time under the track name mean?
It is the start time of the race given in Greenwich Mean Time, while the time above it follows the site's own time zone. Both are indicative: settlement relies on the actual start.
Can I still bet on a race that has already started?
Not in pre-match: a bet accepted after the event has begun, whatever the reason, is void. Only live bets are taken while a contest is under way.
